Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Victim identified: Police said yesterday that Warner Stanley Johnson, 20, was the man fatally shot Friday night in the Thomas Avenue Grocery in the 1800 block of Thomas Ave. Johnson, of the 3500 block of Kentucky Ave., was shot several times and died at the scene. Police said robbery was not the motive. No arrest had been made.

Eastern District

Shooting: An unidentified man was in guarded condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was shot about 7 p.m. yesterday in the hallway of a house in the 1600 block of E. Madison St.

Southern District

Shooting: A man remained in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after an unknown assailant shot him in the head with a shotgun early yesterday while the victim sat in his car in the 800 block of Stoll St. Police said the victim drove a short distance before his car hit a parked vehicle.

Theft: Police were seeking the former tenants of a house in the 1000 block of W. Lombard St. who since August have stolen appliances, dishware, furniture, a generator and other items, all valued at nearly $4,000. The thefts were discovered Saturday. The tenants also vandalized the house, pouring paint on floors and knocking holes in several walls and doors.

Northern District

Shooting victim arrested: Three men were sitting in a car in the 400 block of E. 25th St. about 6 p.m. Saturday when a gunman opened fire, wounding Jamison Orlando Ford, 22, in the stomach. Ford was driven to Union Memorial Hospital, where he was released about noon yesterday, said Detective Keith Jones. Ford was arrested when a records check indicated that he was wanted on a warrant charging him with violation of probation in an aggravated assault case.

Stolen vehicle: Someone entered a teacher's room at Chesapeake Center in the 300 block of E. Patapsco Ave. Friday and stole a set of keys. The thief drove off in the teacher's two-door red 2000 Honda with tags GZP 159 that was parked in the 3500 block of Third St.

Southeastern District

Robbery: A 46-year-old man was struck in the face and robbed of $85 by two men late Friday after leaving Joe's Tavern in the 1000 block of Dundalk Ave.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

School burglary/vandalism: Someone broke into Glenmar Elementary School on Community Drive early Saturday and broke widows and destroyed property in a classroom.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A .22-caliber Ruger handgun and $20 were stolen Saturday from the basement office of a house in the 1300 block of Glendale Road.

Stolen vehicle: A silver 2002 Volvo with tags 701 ANB was stolen over the weekend from the 1500 block of LaBelle Ave. The keys were left in the vehicle.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Someone broke into the home of an elderly man in the 6800 block of Fox Meadow Road over the weekend and removed more than $1,000 from a bedroom.
