Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Victim identified: A man fatally shot while entering a cab outside his home in the 5300 block of Barbara Ave. early Monday was identified by city police yesterday as Donald Wallace, 42. Police said Wallace and an unknown man were entering a cab about 12:30 a.m. when the other man shot him in the head. Wallace, a native of Jamaica, died at the scene. Police knew of no motive. Anyone with information was urged to call Detectives Jack McGrath or Marvin Sydnor at 410-396-2100.

Burglary/arrests: Two men were arrested Tuesday, shortly after they broke into St. Francis of Assisi School in the 3600 block of Harford Road and stole 200 trash bags.

Stolen vehicle: Someone stole a gray 1993 Honda station wagon with tags FPY 676 that was parked in the 1500 block of Medford Road on Tuesday, with its engine running.

Stabbing: Two foster brothers were arguing in their home in the 4200 block of Loch Raven Blvd. about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when one stabbed the other in the back. The assailant was being sought.

Northern District

Burglary: A DVD player, DVDs and jewelry - all valued at $400 - were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 2700 block of N. Howard St.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 5100 block of Craig Ave. on Tuesday after removing a window air-conditioner and stole a DVD player, several DVDs, stereo equipment and clothing - all valued at $460.

Southeastern District

Robbery: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed a man, 31, of $84 in the 300 block of S. Regester St. about 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Carjacking: A woman was stepping from her 2001 Volvo in the 4300 block of Crest Heights Road about 7 a.m. Tuesday when a man armed with an unknown weapon grabbed her keys and stole the car, which had tags JLS 276.

Burglary/arrests: Two Baltimore men were arrested early Tuesday and charged with a break-in at a Sunoco station in the 10800 block of Reisterstown Road, where an ATM was dragged outside in an unsuccessful attempt to open it. Captured by a police dog was Thomas Heddinger, 31, of the 6600 block of Fairdel Ave. Found hiding in a drain pipe by police was Joseph Anderson, 33, of the 2900 block of Bayonne Ave.

Robbery: Police were seeking a boy, 12, who knocked a woman to the ground and stole her purse as she stepped from her car in the 11600 block of Reisterstown Road about 11 a.m. Tuesday. The purse and its contents were valued at $176.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed Rock-A-Billy's carryout in the 2100 block of Old Orems Road of more than $200 about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed Motel 6 in the 1600 block of Whitehead Court of more than $100 Tuesday night.

North Point Precinct

Theft: An escape device for an overhead crane valued at $800 was stolen over the weekend from the Penwood Power Station at Bethlehem Steel Corp. in the 5100 block of North Point Blvd. The theft was reported Tuesday.
