Theatre Hopkins. Auditions for the musical Chicago will be Saturday at the Mattin Center on the Homewood campus of the Johns Hopkins University. Needed are an actress for the role of Velma, plus male and female dancers who can sing and act. A dance combination will be taught at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Candidates should bring sheet music. National Aquarium in Baltimore. Auditions are 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for an interactive aquarium program, Shark Quest. Needed are adult character actors with versatility and strong improvisational skills. Paid and unpaid roles are available. Auditions are by appointment. Spotlighters Theatre. Auditions are 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 1 and 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Feb. 4 at the theater, 817 St. Paul St., for a production of the musical Mamaleh! Needed are three middle-age women, one elderly woman and one younger woman (in her 20s). Candidates should bring a song and be prepared to read from the script. Baltimore Shakespeare Festival. Open-call auditions for the 2003 season will be Monday at the St. Mary's Outreach Center, 3986 Roland Ave. Auditions are by appointment. Cricket Theatre. The Eastern Shore-based theater troupe will hold auditions for a production of Side Man. Needed are five men and two women, ages 20-55. Auditions will be held at the Talbot County Resource Center in Easton from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Feb. 2 and Feb. 9 and from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Feb. 4 and Feb. 11.
