Come on, come on, do the locomotion this weekend at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. The All-American Hi-Rail and Collectors Train Show and the Great Scale Model Train Show feature detailed operating displays and layouts in a variety of scales.

More than 800 display tables will offer model-railroad accessories, building supplies, scenery, tools, train books, videos, toy trains, antique trains and more.

There will be educational exhibits for children and a supervised kids' room showing train movies. Demonstrations will be presented, and local train clubs will offer information on starting a model-train hobby. The doubleheader show runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road, Timonium. $6; free for ages 12 and under. Maximum family charge is $12. Return Sunday free. Call 410-730-1036.
