Aspiring meteorologists, listen up!

On Wednesday, the Provinces Branch Library in Severn presents a kids' program all about the weather, centered on the popular storybook dog Kipper.

Kipper is an imaginative, curious pup who always ends up in an adventure, no matter what the story. In addition to his life in books, he also has his own TV cartoon show on several channels.

The program will feature a reading of books that touch on various facets of the weather: Kipper's Sunny Day, Kipper's Rainy Day and Kipper's Snowy Day, all by Mick Inkpen.

A crafts project includes cut-up felt Kippers and clothing that kids can affix to flannel boards. And kids will use scarves and hats to dress a paper Kipper for a snowy day.

On top of all that, kids will get to tell the story of Kipper's Toybox, through a puppet show, and sing "If You're Happy and You Know It."

The event begins at 10 a.m., 2624 Annapolis Road. It's for kids ages 2 to 6. Call 410-222-6280.
