Andrew G. Kummelmann, 86, BGE store manager

Andrew G. Kummelmann, a retired Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. employee, died Wednesday of heart failure at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda, Fla. He was 86.

Born in Baltimore and raised in Overlea, Mr. Kummelmann worked many years for BGE and held jobs in sales before retiring as a store manager in Bel Air in the early 1980s.

He resided in Baltimore's Hamilton community for about 40 years before moving to Punta Gorda about 15 years ago, and to nearby Port Charlotte a year and a half ago.

Mr. Kummelmann was a past master of the Masons' Sincerity Lodge 181 in Cockeysville.

Services were to be held at 11 a.m. today at Lassahn Funeral Home, 7401 Belair Road.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Vietta Vaughan Kummelmann; two daughters, Sandra L. Kaminkow of Fallston and Susan K. Byles of Virginia Beach, Va.; a stepson, Samuel N. Jones of Key West, Fla.; a brother, Herman Kummelmann of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. His wife of 38 years, the former Dorothy Reichert, died in 1978.
