NCAA: Announced that Clemson freshman F Ori Ichaki isn't eligible to play because he played professional basketball in his native Israel.

ARIZONA: Announced that sophomore G Will Bynum left men's basketball team and will transfer to another school.

BOWIE STATE: Announced that men's basketball coach Luke D'Alessio and women's basketball coach Russell Davis were named Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Week. G Allyson Hardy (Northwest) was named the CIAA women's basketball Player of the Week. Announced that DT Charles Alston will represent East squad in the 2003 Cactus Bowl, which will feature the 82 top Division II football players, on Friday in Kingsville, Texas.

ILLINOIS: Named Dan Roushar running backs coach.

IOWA STATE: Announced that football coach Dan McCarney agreed to four-year contract extension, worth $925,000 a season, that runs through 2010 season.

MASSACHUSETTS: Announced that sophomore G Kyle Wilson has left men's basketball team and will transfer to another school.

MICHIGAN STATE: Named Doug Nussmeier quarterbacks coach.

RUTGERS: Announced that sophomore QB Ryan Cubit has transferred to Western Michigan.

SANTA CLARA: Announced that junior G Kyle Bailey will miss rest of men's basketball season because of bulging disc in his back.
