Dennis A. Grice, 49, CIT Group executive

Dennis A. Grice, a senior vice president of CIT Group Financial, died of a stroke Sunday at University of Maryland Medical Center. The Pasadena resident was 49.

An expert in the computer leasing industry, Mr. Grice was senior vice president of international finance with the company. He had worked for the financial company in London; Rochester, Mich.; and Morristown, N.J., before coming to the Baltimore office last summer.

Born in Detroit and raised in Madison Heights, Mich., he graduated in 1974 from Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in business.

A former resident of Boonton, N.J., he enjoyed golfing and travel. He was also an avid scuba diver and liked to dive to sunken ships.

A memorial service was held Tuesday.

Mr. Grice is survived by his wife of 29 years, the former Deanne E. Hatfield; two sons, Nicholas A. Grice and Robert D. Grice, both of Pasadena; a daughter, Stacy Marie Grice of Cockeysville; and two brothers, Donn Grice of Royal Oak, Mich., and William "Bula" Grice of Sterling Heights, Mich.
