Kids and opera normally don't mix. But add some magic, a dash of illusion and a fun story, and the result may be a perfect recipe. The Children's Opera Theatre presents Merlyn and Arthur, a new opera for children, tomorrow at Harford Community College. The opera tells the tale of Arthur, the famous boy king, and Merlyn, the magician who guides him on his life's path. Audience involvement is encouraged in the show. Music by Mozart, Rossini, Verdi, Herbert and Gounod is featured, along with lyrics and dialogue by Donald Westwood. The cast will participate in a question and answer session after the performance.

"Merlyn and Arthur" will be presented at 5:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Harford Community College, Amoss Center, 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air. $5-$9. Call 410-836-4211 (voice) or 410-836-4199 (TTY).
