Nov. 1

Morgan State University Choir in Concert. Sponsored by the Harford County Branch of the NAACP. Amoss Center, Harford Community College, 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air. Nov. 3

George W. Archer Memorial Lecture. Chesapeake Dining Room, Harford Community College, 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air. John J. Jones, a member of the Harford County Historical Society, discusses the Welsh immigrants who settled in the Delta/Cardiff area during the 1840s to work in slate quarries. 3 p.m. Free. 410-836-4211.

Nov. 10

Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra. John Carroll School, 703 Churchville Road, Bel Air. Concert season opener features music by Tchaikovsky and George Gershwin. 3 p.m. $7-$15. 410- 838-6465.

Nov. 16-17

Festival of the Arts. Harford Day School, 715 Moores Mill Road, Bel Air. Handmade fine arts and crafts, including paintings, photography, ceramics, furniture, jewelry, metals and leather goods. Nov. 17

Nov. 30

Festival of Trees. Through Dec. 7. Havre de Grace Community Center, Lagret Lane, Havre de Grace. Trees decorated and donated by various businesses are up for bids in a silent auction at this annual event sponsored by the Harford County Boys and Girls Club and the Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce. Also vendors, Santa Claus, model train exhibit and choral concerts daily. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 7. Auction wrap-up gala 7 p.m. Dec. 7. Dec. 1

Bel Air Christmas Parade. Tree lighting, floats, marching bands and Santa. Parade starts 3:30 p.m. on Main Street at Churchville Road. 19th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony immediately after parade at Bel Air Town Hall, Hickory Avenue. Dec. 6-8

The Nutcracker. Amoss Center, Harford Community College, 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air. Presented by Harford Dance Theatre. Abbreviated 90-minute performance 5 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday. Christmas at an English Country House. Ladew Topiary Gardens, 3535 Jarrettsville Pike (Route 146), Monkton. Tours of the Ladew Manor House. Storybook Christmas and the Story of Aberdeen. Aberdeen Room Archives, 18 Howard St., Aberdeen. The story of Aberdeen is told through exterior murals, exhibits, music and storytelling. Refreshments. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Free. 410-273-6325.
