Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Arrest: Members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested Maurice Barfield, 23, at a relative's home on Reverdy Road on Wednesday. He is charged with attempted murder in a dispute-related shooting Sept. 17 of a man in the 500 block of N. Montford Ave.

Arrest: Police entered a house in the 1800 block of Ramblewood Road on Wednesday and arrested resident Kevin Bass, 25, on a warrant charging him with attempted murder in a shooting Oct. 7 of a man in the 2800 block of Mathews St.

Southern District

Arrest: Maurice Mouzon, 23, of the 2400 block of Wilgrey Court was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging him with attempted murder in a shooting Sept. 27 of a man near Mouzon's home. Mouzon surrendered to police at the district station.

Robbery: A man posing as a city police officer ordered a motorist out of his car Wednesday night in the 1300 block of Washington Blvd. and threatened to shoot him in a robbery that netted $20.

Assault: A man, 40, was being sought in the choking of two children, ages 7 and 5, in their apartment in the 2700 block of Spelman Road yesterday. The man lives in an adjoining apartment, where police seized a .38-caliber revolver in a subsequent search. The children were released after treatment at Harbor Hospital for minor injuries.

Theft from vehicle: Someone ripped open the convertible top of a 1991 Pontiac parked Wednesday in the 1700 block of Belt St. and stole a compact disc player, several compact discs and a car vacuum -- all valued at more than $500.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Three young males knocked a man, 73, to the ground in the 200 block of S. Washington St. about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, struck him in the face and robbed him of $23.

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player valued at nearly $300 was stolen Wednesday from a 2002 Jeep parked in the 700 block of Aliceanna St.

Southwestern District

Robbery/arrests: Two 17-year-old boys were arrested Tuesday and charged as juveniles with assaulting a youth in the 2500 block of Washington Blvd. and robbing him of his cellular phone. The two were being held at Northern District's juvenile detention center. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglaries: A jar containing $60 in coins was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 800 block of Quaker Bottom Road. Nearby, a house in the 14600 block of Thornton Mill Road was broken into Wednesday by someone who removed a DVD player and a Winnie the Pooh compact disc -- all valued at $225.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Fifty DVDs and video games were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 7400 block of Lesada Drive.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: A purse containing an undisclosed sum of cash and other items was stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 4400 block of Old Court Road.
