New director named for heritage tourism, trail development job

October 24, 2002

DARLINGTON - Mary Ann Lisanti, former city manager of Havre de Grace, has been named executive director of the Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenway, a nonprofit organization that promotes heritage tourism and trail development in Harford and Cecil counties.

Lisanti replaces Beverly Litsinger of Randallstown, whose nine-month contract was close to expiring when she decided to leave to work on a book about haunted sites in Maryland.

The greenway's focus area includes nearly 45,000 acres along the Susquehanna River, from just north of Conowingo Dam to the head of the Chesapeake Bay and includes the towns of Port Deposit, Havre de Grace and Perryville.
