Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Theft from vehicle: Power tools and their accessories, all valued at nearly $1,500, were stolen Sunday from a Ford Explorer parked in the 6400 block of Hartwait St.

Theft: Speakers valued at $300 were stolen Sunday from a 1997 Ford Expedition parked in the 800 block of S. Quail St.

Southern District

Theft from vehicle: Ten pairs of dancing shoes and 50 compact discs, all valued at more than $1,700, were stolen during the weekend from a 1999 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle parked in the 600 block of Portland St.

Theft: While a man was inside a restaurant in the 3700 block of Potee St. on Sunday, someone stole his 27-inch trail bike that he had secured to a bike rack outside. The bike was valued at $600. Two other bikes secured to the rack had been unlocked and thrown to the ground.

Northern District

Theft: Two bicycles valued at $200 were stolen Sunday from the back yard of a house in the 300 block of Underwood Court.

Robbery try: A man, 34, was walking in the 100 block of E. University Parkway about 9 p.m. Sunday when one of two males riding by on bicycles grabbed him and demanded money. The man struck the cyclist, who sped away with his accomplice.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Arson/arrest: A 14-year-old boy was arrested Sunday evening after being caught in the act of setting fire to a 1995 Mitsubishi pickup truck at Nations Construction Co. in the 4200 block of North Point Blvd.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 45, and her son's girlfriend, 19, were walking on a Kmart parking lot in the 8800 block of Waltham Woods Road about 6 p.m. Sunday when two men shoved them against a parked car and robbed them of more than $400.

Robbery: Police were seeking a gunman who robbed a man, 54, of $200 Friday night as the victim walked his dog in the 7800 block of Tilmont Ave.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A generator, electric drill and drill bits were stolen during the weekend from American Sales Co. in the 8800 block of Kelso Drive by someone who entered through a rear door.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Tools valued at $150 were stolen Sunday from a shed in the 2000 block of Western Run Road.

Towson Precinct

Burglary/vandalism: Someone entered a Clark Construction Co. field office in the first block of Lambourne Road during the weekend, destroyed property and set off a fire extinguisher.
