Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Robbery try: A 26-year-old man was outside his home in the 3400 block of Seventh St. early Wednesday when a man he was talking to pulled out a shotgun and demanded payment of a purported $20 debt. When the victim yelled out, the gunman fled. A warrant was being sought for the gunman's arrest.

Arson: A stolen 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck with tags 41J 644 was set ablaze in the 1400 block of E. Fort Ave. on Tuesday night.

Burglary: Cigarettes, flashlight batteries, cigarette lighters, cash and coins - all valued at $1,200 - were stolen Wednesday from Sam's Grocery in the 1500 block of S. Charles St.

Burglary: A combination clothes washer/dryer, cabinets and a gas range - all valued at more than $3,600 - were stolen Wednesday from a house under construction in the 100 block of E. Ostend St.

Eastern District

Theft: A purse containing $50 and personal items was stolen Wednesday from a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier parked in the 400 block of E. Eager St.

Northern District

Theft: A laptop computer valued at $2,000 was stolen Wednesday from an office at Friends School in the 5100 block of N. Charles St. Police said the computer had been secured to a nearby file cabinet, and that the theft occurred while the office was unoccupied between 3:15 p.m. and 3:40 p.m.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 27, was walking toward a pet store in the 1700 block of York Road about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday to apply for a job when a man who implied he was armed with a knife robbed her of nearly $100.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: While a woman engaged a female resident of the first block of Ritters Lane in talk about her garden Tuesday afternoon, a male accomplice entered the house and ransacked several rooms. It was not known what, if any, property was taken.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Three dirt bikes with a combined value of $6,000 were stolen between Monday and Wednesday from a garage in the 1200 block of 62nd St.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Four custom 20-inch wheels with tires - all valued at $3,000 - were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 2200 block of Hawthorne Road.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Several rounds of 9 mm ammunition, boxes of BBs and a carbon-dioxide cartridge for a gas-powered handgun or rifle were stolen Wednesday from a shed in the 3400 block of Abbie Place.
