Today

Walkersville (2-4) at No. 13 Francis Scott Key (5-1)

Time: 7 p.m.

Outlook: Coming off its first loss of the season, against South Hagerstown, Key probably needs to win its final four games to make the Class 2A playoffs. Key coach John Baugher calls Walkersville "the best 2-4 team in our conference." The Lions passed for more than 200 yards last week in a loss to Brunswick and can run the ball with any one of three backs. Chris Bassler, Key's All-County tight end, should be nearly full strength following an ankle injury.

Westminster (4-2) at Frederick (1-5)

Time: 7 p.m.

Outlook: The red-hot Owls will look to make it five in a row this week against the Cadets, who last week managed just eight first downs against North Carroll, which hadn't won a conference game since 1998. Westminster, led by running back Brandon Costley (county-best 743 yards rushing) and quarterback Brad Baer (45-70, 665 yards, 8 passing touchdowns) has averaged 37 points a game the past four weeks.

North Carroll (2-4) at Urbana (3-3)

Time: 7 p.m.

Outlook: The Panthers should be sky high after ending their 23-game Central Maryland Conference losing streak last week with a 13-7 win over Frederick. But they could quickly come crashing to Earth against the four-time defending state champions. David Cockey ran for 74 yards and a touchdown, and Alan Walker added another 55 rushing yards for North Carroll in the win. The Hawks have won three straight following an 0-3 start, and outscored South Carroll and Liberty, 79-7, the past two weeks.
