Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Homicide arrest: Kevin Kade, 23, of the 900 block of Valley St. is being held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center, charged with first-degree murder in the shooting Sept. 10 of Kenneth Hooper in the 2400 block of Jefferson St. during a drug-related dispute. Detective Frank Miller said Hooper, 44, was shot in the back of the head with a 12-gauge shotgun and died at the scene and that the weapon was recovered in a nearby alley. Kade was arrested Friday in the 3400 block of Fairview Ave. by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force.

Shooting: Donta Rutledge, 22, was standing outside his home in the 1800 block of E. Biddle St. about 10:30 a.m. yesterday when an unknown assailant shot him in the right leg. Rutledge was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Shooting: Kelvin Jackson, 22, of the 100 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. was in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after an unknown gunman shot him in the neck, back and right leg as he stood in the 1700 block of N. Broadway about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Southern District

Theft from vehicle: Speakers, an amplifier, compact discs, a power saw and an AM-FM radio -- all valued at nearly $1,900 -- were stolen yesterday from a 2001 Mitsubishi parked in the 1300 block of Covington St.

Burglary: A bathtub valued at $1,300 was stolen between Friday and Tuesday from a house under renovation in the 1200 block of S. Hanover St.

Southeastern District

Theft: A sword, floor jack and motor oil -- all valued at $410 -- were stolen Tuesday from a 1998 Buick Regal parked in the 100 block of N. Wolfe St.

Southwestern District

Robbery: Police were seeking two men who robbed a woman, 19, of $170 at gunpoint while she talked on a pay phone in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Northern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed Value Village Thrift in the 5000 block of York Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, then robbed a female customer of $6 before fleeing.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: Two gunmen wearing jackets emblazoned with the letters FBI forced their way into an apartment in the first block of Caraway Road in Reisterstown about 5 a.m. Tuesday, where they handcuffed two men and locked two women in a bathroom. The men fled with cash, a cell phone and jewelry.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Four computers, cash and a cell phone -- all valued at $18,152 -- were stolen overnight Monday from Advance Capital PCS in the 11000 block of McCormick Road.
