October 11, 2002|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

A 5-year-old Arbutus boy was killed yesterday when a car driven by his 16-year-old brother ran off Benson Avenue near their Arbutus home, Baltimore County police reported.

The car, a Lincoln Mark VII, was traveling north in the 4000 block of Benson Ave. about 3:30 p.m. when it swerved into the southbound lane, went down an embankment and struck a pole, sending the boy through a sunroof, police said. His brother suffered no serious injuries.

Officers said the brothers lived in the 1200 block of Weddel Ave. but withheld their names.
