Gilman seniors Ambrose Wooden and Victor Abiamiri have been selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, a high school all-star football game Jan. 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The game will be televised on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.

A two-time All-Metro performer, Wooden plays quarterback and defensive back for the Greyhounds.

He was The Sun's boys Player of the Week this week after passing for 248 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for 196 yards in a 48-45 victory over Mount St. Joseph.

Abiamiri, also an All-Metro selection, is a standout 6-foot-5, 240-pound defensive end.

Gilman is ranked No. 1 by The Sun and No. 20 nationally by USA Today.
