Today

Severn (1-1) at St. Paul's (2-1)

Time: 3:30 p.m.

Outlook: Having a week off, didn't help the Admirals, who lost their Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference opener, 17-12, to Boys' Latin. The defending conference co-champions, who need this one in the Gold Division, are hoping for another big game from RB Deion Peters, who had both touchdowns last week.

St. Mary's (2-1) at Cardinal Gibbons (0-3)

Time: 7 p.m.

Outlook: Coming off a 21-6 victory over North Carroll, the Saints play their first MIAA B Conference game. Donta Sylve ran for 206 yards and two touchdowns against North Carroll.

No. 4 Old Mill (3-0) at No. 15 Broadneck (2-1)

Time: 7:15 p.m.

Outlook: Broadneck has taken the last three meetings, including a 14-13 decision last year. Old Mill's Brashaad Mayweather has rushed for a county best 725 yards and a metro-area best 14 touchdowns. The Bruins will counter with senior LBs Preston Pehrson and Doug Sowells and a maturing defense.

Chesapeake (2-1) at No. 6 Annapolis (3-0)

Time: 7:15 p.m.

Outlook: The host Panthers have taken 17 in a row from the Cougars and are 21-1 overall, with Chesapeake's only win in 1982. There is not a deeper backfield in the county than the Panthers' group of Demario Harris, Demario Green, Darius Johnson and Davon Watkins. The foursome set a county single-game team record for rushing yards (486) in last week's 35-13 rout of Glen Burnie.

Meade (1-2) at Glen Burnie (0-3)

Time: 7:15 p.m.

Outlook: Meade is coming off a 56-6 romp over North County. It might be wise for Glen Burnie not to throw into the area of Wayne Turner, who tied a 12-year-old county record for interceptions (four) in a game last week.

Arundel (1-2) at South River (1-2)

Time: 7:15 p.m.

Outlook: Arundel gave No. 15 Broadneck all it could handle last week before bowing, 17-14, while the Seahawks were defeated, 36-13, by Old Mill.

North County (0-3) at Severna Park (2-1)

Time: 7:15 p.m.

Outlook: With last week's 56-6 loss at Meade joined to off-the-field problems and suspensions, things are not looking up for the Knights. Severna Park has a chance to get its offense in gear.

McDonough (1-2) at Southern-AA (1-2)

Time: 7:15 p.m.

Outlook: The Bulldogs play host to an opponent from the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference. Southern needs the running of QB Justin Holland and RBs Chris Lee and Andrew Peresta in its attempt to avenge last year's 21-12 loss.

Northeast (1-2) at Queen Anne's (0-3)

Time: 7:15 p.m.

Outlook: Paul Lutz ran for 165 yards last week, but the Eagles couldn't finish and suffered a 7-0 loss at Fallston. The Northeast offense should get well this week against an Eastern Shore opponent that has been giving up a lot of points.

Archbishop Curley (2-1) at Archbishop Spalding (2-2)

Time: 7:15 p.m.

Outlook: Climbing to .500 last week with a 26-0 rout of Friends, the host Cavaliers are gaining confidence. So, are they ready to stop the Friars' Jamaal Walker, who has run for 375 yards and four touchdowns on just 18 attempts?
