On September 23, 2002, ALEXIS MARY. Born to Nicholas and Barbara Stratigeas Sept. 3, 1980. Alexis was a good person, a good daughter, a good sister and a good friend. She lived a wonderful life full of happiness and joy and she brought these things into the lives of everyone that had the privilege of knowing her. She was a girl scout and an acolyte at St. Marys Episcopal Church in Abingdon, Md. She attended Bel Air Middle and high school and was an important part of many peoples lives. In high school, she played both soccer and lacrosse for Bel Air. She lived every minute of her life to the fullest. She is survived by her parents, Nicholas and Barbara Stratigeas and two brothers, Nicholas Stratigeas, Jr. and Christopher Stratigeas. We love her with all our hearts and will miss her forever. A receiving of friends will be held Friday, September 27 at Schimunek Funeral Home in Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Road (at Route 24) from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28 at St. Marys Church in Abingdon. On September 24, 2002, of Annapolis, MD. He is survived by his wife Margaret Peggy Sweeney of Glen Burnie, MD, beloved father of Joseph F. Sweeney, Jr., Charlotte, NC; Michael P. Sweeney, Centreville, MD; Joyce A. Swanson, Millersville, MD; Colleen L. Storm, Crofton, MD; Angela L. Murray, Glen Burnie, MD, loving brother to Philip Sweeney, Annapolis, MD; Elizabeth Skubal, Annapolis, MD and Anna Andrews, Asheville, NC. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Peddicord.
