Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Vandalism/arrest: Officer Alexi Correa was working a case near the 3900 block of Berwin Ave. about 4:30 p.m. Monday when a teen-ager threw a metal pipe that shattered the window of his 1999 Ford Crown Victoria patrol car. The youth fled on foot, but was caught minutes later and charged as a juvenile with malicious destruction of property.

Northern District

Robbery: Police were seeking a man armed with a knife and wearing jeans and a T-shirt with "Street Life" printed on its front, who forcibly entered a house in the first block of York Court about 1 p.m. Tuesday and robbed a female occupant of several pieces of jewelry, a 13-inch TV and coins from a jar.

Theft: A man, 41, from the 500 block of E. 28th St. was arrested Tuesday when he tried to leave the Giant Food store in the Rotunda shopping center without paying for meat and seafood products.

Southeastern District

Robbery: A woman, 32, was walking in the 2200 block of Winterling Court about 6 a.m. Monday when a man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed her of $40.

Robbery: Police were seeking a man known as "Trey" who struck a woman in the face as she walked in the 3200 block of E. Fayette St. about 1 p.m. Tuesday and robbed her of $12.

Southwestern District

Bank robbery: A man robbed Provident Bank in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave. of an undisclosed sum of cash about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after giving a teller a holdup note.

Robbery try: A man entered a house in the 400 block of S. Beechfield Ave. about 3 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money and valuables from a woman, 83, but fled when she cried for help.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: A boy, 14, was walking in the 6700 block of Security Blvd. before 1 a.m. Tuesday when a gunman stepped from a Nissan Maxima station wagon and robbed him of $15, a set of keys and a cellular phone.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: Compact discs, a food mixer and a tape recorder were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 700 block of Woodsdale Road by someone who entered through a side window.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A boy, 17, and girl, 16, were walking on Leanne Road near Essex Avenue about 9 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed them of jewelry, $7 and a pager.

Burglary: An undisclosed large sum of money was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1700 block of Wilson Point Road between Sept. 13 and Tuesday.

Burglary: A DVD player, camera, laptop computer, watch and $100 in coins were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1400 block of Old Eastern Ave. The loss was estimated at $2,700.
