Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Robbery: Shortly after an 89-year-old man left a bank Saturday afternoon and was walking toward his home in the 500 block of S. Patterson Park Ave., he was assaulted by a prostitute who robbed him of more than $200. The man was treated for a minor hand injury at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The woman was being sought.

Theft: Clothing, a compact disc player and personal items -- all valued at $600 -- were stolen Saturday from a 1992 Chevrolet parked in the first block of S. Albemarle St.

Robbery try: A gunman demanding money forced a man, 33, into an alley in the 800 block of S. Conkling St. about 6:40 p.m. Saturday, but fled after searching the victim and finding none.

Southern District

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player and several compact discs -- all valued at $260 -- were stolen yesterday from a 2001 Volvo parked in the 400 block of S. Charles St.

Eastern District

Stabbing: Two men were involved in a drug-related argument in the 1500 block of N. Washington St. about 11:30 p.m. Saturday when one stabbed the other in the back with a knife. The victim, 32, was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrest has been made.

Northern District

Robbery: A boy, 17, was riding a mountain bicycle in the 5300 block of Midwood Ave. about 5:15 p.m. Saturday when two men knocked him to the pavement. They took the bike, valued at $200, and fled -- one riding, the other running alongside.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A man, 25, was walking in the 4100 block of Stokes Drive about 8:30 p.m. Saturday when another man struck him over the head with an unknown blunt object and robbed him of nearly $90.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a woman, 30, of several pieces of jewelry in the 3400 block of Clifton Ave. about 2 p.m. Saturday.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: Two men, ages 78 and 89, were in the 3600 block of Offutt Road about 6:30 p.m. Saturday and taking donations for Disabled American Veterans when two males in their late teens or early 20s robbed them of $160 they had collected.

Arson: Someone poured a flammable liquid on the ground outside the Shakespeare Apartments in the 3600 block of Anne Hathaway Drive early Friday and set the grass on fire. An attempt to set fire to an apartment hallway failed.

Stolen vehicle: A black 1992 Volkswagen with tags HMG 205 was stolen Saturday in the first block of Englefield Square.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed an 18-year-old man of an undisclosed sum of money at Lord Baltimore Drive and Tudsbury Road about 1 a.m. Saturday.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a garage in the 8200 block of Bellona Ave. on Saturday and removed a pager from a car inside. Entry was gained by using a garage-door opener found in another vehicle outside.

Burglary: Two bicycles and a large carrying bag -- all valued at $170 -- were stolen Sept. 6 from a garage in the 8500 block of Ruxton Crossing Road. The burglary was reported Saturday.
