Man with knife robs driver, steals his van and flees

PASADENA - County police are investigating an armed robbery and carjacking that took place early Friday morning at Fort Smallwood and Marley Neck Roads in Pasadena.

Officers who responded to the incident at 2:49 a.m. said Kenneth E. Meadows, 57, of Baltimore, a driver for Stoney Creek Passenger Service, told them that as he was driving on Marley Neck Road, his passenger put a knife to his throat and demanded money.

Meadows gave the man cash and was ordered to get out of the van. The suspect fled in the van.

3 arrested in Pasadena on drug, weapons charges

PASADENA - Ending a three-month investigation, county police arrested three people on drug and weapons charges Friday at a residence in Pasadena.

The narcotics division executed a search warrant at a home in the 4400 block of Mountain Road and recovered suspected cocaine, ecstasy, drug paraphernalia and a loaded .357 handgun, police said.

Charged with drug possession were Richard Paul Youngbar Jr., 42; Charlotte McDade, 37; and a 17-year-old juvenile. Youngbar was also charged with possession of a handgun, police said.
