Paramedic hit by car while at accident site

RANDALLSTOWN - A Baltimore County paramedic was in serious but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being hit by a car while on duty yesterday in Randallstown.

Paramedic Dontay Paige was directing traffic near a car accident at Windsor Mill Road and Meadowview Drive about 1:30 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle that had been rear-ended, said Capt. Glenn Blackwell of the Baltimore County Fire Department. Paige's legs were broken, Blackwell said.

Paige was scheduled to undergo surgery last night at Shock Trauma, Blackwell said.

Two brothers accused of stealing BWI luggage

LINTHICUM - Two Baltimore brothers were arrested yesterday and charged with stealing luggage from baggage carousels at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, authorities said.

Timothy Loose, 34, and Thomas Loose, Jr., 36, both of the 600 block of Fort Ave. were charged with felony theft and conspiracy to commit theft, said Cpl. Gregory Prioleau of the Maryland Transportation Authority police. They were arrested at the North Point Flea Market on North Point Boulevard in Baltimore County yesterday as they tried to sell luggage, jewelry and clothing, said Prioleau, who added that authorities found more merchandise at the brothers' home later in the day.

The Looses were being held at Anne Arundel County Detention Center in lieu of $7,500 bail.
