Wide support made concerts a success

On behalf of GFWC Woman's Club of Linthicum Heights I would like to thank everyone who helped make the club's 22nd season of Concerts in the Park a success.

Thanks go to The Sun in Anne Arundel and writer Rosalie Falter for the fine coverage of the seven concerts in her Neighbors column. Coverage that attracted concert goers to Linthicum Park from throughout the county.

[Thanks also to] those organizations and individuals who enabled the club to present a quality series of free concerts. They include: Linthicum-Shipley Improvement, Crestwood. and North Linthicum Associations, the Cultural Arts Foundation of Anne Arundel Co., Linthicum Rotary Club, AARP Chapters 2244 and 3850, Performing Arts Association of Linthicum, Linthicum Lions Club, Anne Arundel County Councilmember Pam Beidle and Olsen Crouse, and the members of Boy Scout Troop 550 and their Scoutmaster, Henry LaWall who transported chairs when needed to and from the clubhouse to the park for the concerts.

[Thanks also] to our audiences who supported the series by their presence and donations, to the members of the club's performing arts committee who gave their time to assist with concert preparations and Community Improvement Chairman Carol Glendenning and her husband, Ken, who cleaned up the park's concert area prior to each performance.

Jo Barker
