Interactive story time

BEST BETS

Some kids think story time should be more than just sitting quietly and listening attentively. For them, there's KidWorks, a monthly story time and performance by kids - for kids.

Today at 6:30 p.m., the Eldersburg Branch Library invites children of all ages to spend an evening enjoying KidWorks, an event organized by a group of area middle schoolers. The group encourages kids to listen to stories and participate in an interactive lineup of events - from stories and songs to crafts and games.

If KidWorks can ensure one thing, it's that there will be no sitting around at this story time. With sports as the theme of the evening, kids are invited to dribble, run and swing. Even the selected story, Froggy Plays Soccer, will inspire kids to get moving.

The Eldersburg Branch Library is at 6400 W. Hemlock Drive. Registration is not required for the program. For more information, call 410-386-4488.
