Thumbs up: Quarterback Jeff Blake threw a perfect pass to Brandon Stokley 25 yards down the middle. ... Cornerback Alvin Porter ended the afternoon practice with an interception.

Thumbs down: Quarterback Wes Pate and Derek Homer fumbled the ball on an exchange.

Quotable: "He likes to throw the ball, and he likes to make plays. That is what we need." Receiver Travis Taylor on quarterback Chris Redman.

Injuries: Ends Michael McCrary (knee) and Tony Weaver (ankle), linebacker Andre Arnold (knee) and cornerbacks Jason Olford and Yohance Scott (arm) did not practice. Jonathan Ogden (hamstring) and Brandon Stokley (calf) left practice early but returned.

Today's schedule: Full-squad practice 8:45 to 11:10 a.m. Special teams practice from 3 to 4 p.m.
