Thumbs up: Linebacker Ray Lewis batted down two passes. ... Wide receiver Ron Johnson drove cornerback Lamont Brightful into the ground on a Brandon Stokley reverse. ... Quarterback Chris Redman made the throw of the day, a 20-yard pass to Travis Taylor in stride down the sideline.

Thumbs down: Two of Redman's passes were tipped in a two-minute drill, and he was later intercepted by Alvin Porter and Reggie Waddell on out routes. ... Wide receiver Randy Hymes dropped two passes that went off his chest. ... Cornerback James Trapp allowed two deep sideline throws.

Injuries: Linebacker Peter Boulware (ankle), defensive end Michael McCrary (knee), cornerback Gary Baxter (hamstring), defensive end Tony Weaver (ankle), linebacker Andre Arnold (knee) and cornerback Jason Olford (hamstring) did not practice. Tight end Todd Heap (triceps), safety Chad Williams (leg) and punter Dave Zastudil (heel) returned to practice. Running back Chester Taylor (leg) was limited in drills.

Today's schedule: Full-squad practice 8:45 to 11:10 a.m. and special teams 3 to 4 p.m.
