Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Drug arrests: Uniformed Officer Shawn Frey noticed a man in possession of heroin and made the first of two drug arrests Sunday. Arrested near his home in the 1900 block of N. Longwood St. about 8:40 a.m. Sunday was Glenn Brooks, 34. Frey confiscated about $50 worth of heroin, and later seized $40 worth of cocaine in an arrest in the 3000 block of Normount Court. Charged with possession in that case was Isaac Holley, 35, whose address was not available.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Two men assaulted a man, 26, in the 2600 block of E. Fayette St. about 4 a.m. Sunday and robbed him of $50.

Theft: At least 25 compact discs were stolen Sunday from a 1994 Nissan Maxima parked in the 100 block of Albemarle St.

Theft: A purse containing $1,200 in cash and several credit cards was stolen Sunday from a 1997 Ford Escort parked in the 1400 block of Fleet St.

Western District

Theft: A fire extinguisher and an emergency road flare were stolen Sunday from a school bus parked at Joe Miller Transportation in the 3500 block of Woodbrook Ave.

Southern District

Burglary: Jewelry was taken Sunday from a house in the 3800 block of Brooklyn Ave.

Theft: A mountain bicycle valued at $350 was stolen Sunday from outside a house in the 400 block of Folsom St.

Burglary: Stereo equipment, 75 compact discs, tools and two radios - all valued at nearly $1,500 -were stolen Sunday from a house in the 100 block of Gittings St.

Theft: Two pieces of luggage and their contents - all valued at $1,000 -were stolen Sunday from the luggage rack atop a 2001 Mazda parked in the 400 block of S. Charles St.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglaries: Three homes and a shed in the 1700 block of Kurtz Ave. were broken into between Thursday and Sunday. Taken from one house were musical instruments, cash and computer equipment. From another, a 32-inch television was stolen. From the shed, a wedge-like tool was stolen and used to break into the third home where keys to a 1997 Honda Civic were taken and the vehicle, with tags FPT 434, was stolen. The wedge was found outside the house.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery try: A man, 28, was at Greens Lane and South Green Road about 1 a.m. Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, demanded his money. The victim refused and was fleeing when the gunman fired a shot.

White Marsh Precinct

Theft: A yellow 2002 Suzuki dirt bike valued at $3,000 was stolen Sunday by a thief who cut a chain holding it to a fence in the rear yard of a house in the first block of Old Forge Lane.
