Who he is: He is a former walk-on who was a two-year starter at San Diego State. He started all 11 games in each of his junior and senior years. He recorded 229 career tackles (135 solo) and five interceptions. He was first-team All-Mountain West two consecutive years.

Pre-game rituals: "I always wear the same tank top that I wear to practice, and I always have a pack of M&Ms before a game; get my sweet up. It's just a habit I always do."

Something you may not know about him: "Man, I'm just weird. I'm a real quiet guy."

Ravens mentor: "It's always going to be my coach and also James Trapp, Chris McAlister. All them combined I can turn to them anytime I need to. They have been my mentors through this whole thing."

What he misses about home: "Going to the beach and the sun. But, I love Maryland so far."
