Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Assault/arrest: A woman was arguing with the driver of a cab in the 4100 block of Hague Ave. about noon Wednesday when she removed a crowbar from her backpack and tried to strike the driver. The woman missed, but struck the vehicle. Arrested and charged with aggravated assault was Cynthia Payne, 37, of Glen Burnie.

Assault: The driver of an Auto Barn tow truck was preparing to remove an illegally parked car in the 1100 block of Cherry Hill Road about 10 p.m. Wednesday when a man pointed a handgun at him and threatened to shoot. Instead, the gunman threw eggs at the driver, who was uninjured.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Cash, jewelry and a high school ring were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 100 block of N. Janney St.

Western District

Carjacking: The driver of a black Jeep Cherokee with tags M845514 was stopped in the 900 block of N. Pulaski St. on Wednesday night when two men, one with a handgun, forced him from the vehicle and drove off.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Carjacking: A woman was placing groceries in her gold 1990 Lexus with tags KAA 061 at the Ridgely Shopping Center in the 100 block of W. Ridgely Road about 7 p.m. Wednesday when a man shoved her aside and drove off with her vehicle.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A television, two compact disc players, speakers, two knives, a sword and two videocassette recorders -- all valued at $1,255 -- were stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 1600 block of Gail Road.
