Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Theft from vehicle: A French-made watch valued at nearly $3,000 was stolen yesterday from the console of a 2002 Chevrolet truck parked in the 700 block of Ramsay St. by someone who broke a window to gain entry.

Shooting: A man was in the 2700 block of Spelman Road in Cherry Hill shortly before 1 a.m. yesterday when an unknown assailant shot him in the leg. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southwestern District

Assault: Police were seeking a teen-age male who fired several shots at a man during a verbal exchange the gunman and three other youths had with the man in the rear of the 2100 block of Tucker Lane about 3 a.m. Tuesday. The man was not hit.

Robbery: After two men entered Holzweig's & Kim's grocery store in the 2100 block of W. Pratt St. about 3 p.m. Tuesday and requested snowballs, one of them pulled a handgun and demanded money. After robbing the owner of his wallet and cash, the men removed money from a cash register and stole cartons and packs of cigarettes.

Robbery: Two men assaulted a man, 40, in the 2300 block of Frederick Ave. about 5 p.m. Tuesday and robbed him of $5 and his cellular phone.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Police were seeking a male, 15, who robbed a woman, 29, of a cellular phone valued at $100 at knifepoint in the 3200 block of E. Lombard St. about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Robbery: Two boys tried to remove money from a cash register at Conkling Foam Center in the 3500 block of Claremont Ave. about 1 p.m. Tuesday but were overpowered by employees and held for police.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Theft: While a man examined two cameras and a lens at Ritz Camera Center in the 700 block of Merritt Blvd. on Tuesday, he suddenly gathered up the items, ran out the door and sped away in a Hyundai driven by another man. The property was valued at more than $1,000.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: An undisclosed sum of cash was stolen from China Dragon Restaurant in the 2500 block of Putty Hill Ave. overnight Monday by someone who entered through a rear door.

Vandalism: Someone used a sharp object to slash the tires of at least nine vehicles parked in the first block of Thornwood Court on Tuesday morning.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Garden tools valued at nearly $800 were stolen Tuesday from a shed in the first block of Betty Bush Lane.

Wilkens Precinct

Stabbing: Police were seeking a man who stabbed another man, 21, in the abdomen with a knife during an attempted robbery in the 6500 block of Baltimore National Pike about 9 p.m. Monday. The victim was treated at Northwest Hospital Center.

Burglary: Computer equipment, cash and a camera - all valued at nearly $1,600 - were stolen Monday from a house in the 4800 block of Carmella Drive by someone who entered through a basement window.

Theft: A dune buggy valued at $3,000 was stolen Monday night from the rear yard of a house in the 3700 block of Century Ave.
