Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Arrest: Tashawn Hilton, 26, of the 4600 block of The Alameda was arrested yesterday at his home by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with attempted murder in the shooting of a 21-year-old man in the 4200 block of Sheldon Ave. on June 24. Hilton is being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Arrest: A man sought in the shooting of a 16-year-old male in the 1700 block of Homestead St. on May 1 was arrested yesterday outside his home in the 2600 block of Polk St. by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force. Damon Williams, 25, was charged with attempted murder and held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center pending a bail hearing.

Southern District

Shooting: Police responding to shots fired in the 1100 block of Washington Blvd. about 9:15 p.m. Sunday found Maurice Coleman, 24, sitting on the front steps of a house and bleeding from a bullet wound to the left leg. Coleman was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center and was listed in good condition.

Northern District

Burglary: A laptop computer, DVD player and a bicycle - all valued at nearly $1,600 - were stolen from a house in the 3100 block of N. Calvert St. between July 2 and Sunday.

Burglary: Someone entered a storage area at L & J Construction in the 1100 block of Exeter Hall Ave. between July 2 and Sunday and stole six tires valued at nearly $400.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Home invasion robbery: Three men and a woman were about to enter a house in the 600 block of Cliveden Road about 3 a.m. Sunday when three males, one armed with a handgun, forced them inside and bound their hands and legs with tape. The intruders then stole two cellular phones, $140 and keys to the house and the business of one of the victims before fleeing.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: While the residents of a house in the 1300 block of Hickory Springs Circle were away between June 29 and Saturday, a man told a neighbor watching the house he was a relative and was there to water the plants. After the neighbor gave the man the keys to the house, he entered it and stole two televisions and a coin collection.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed a driver for Diamond Cab of $39 at Atwater and Alberge lanes about midnight Saturday. Before fleeing, the gunman fired several shots at the cab, missing the driver, who sped off.

North Point Precinct

Robbery try/arrest: A young man was at Dunmanway and Yorkway early Sunday when six youths, one with a knife, demanded his money. When the victim refused, he was knocked to the ground. A short time later, police detained six male juveniles near the scene and arrested one of them in the incident.

Robbery: A male, 17, was walking in the rear of the 2600 block of Yorkway about 4 p.m. Sunday when two older males, one with what appeared to be a rock, struck him in the chest and head and robbed him of his necklace.
