METS: Optioned P Tyler Walker to Triple-A Norfolk. Recalled P Mike Bacsik from Triple-A Norfolk.

PADRES: Placed OF Ray Lankford on 15-day DL, retroactive to July 4, with strained right hamstring. Purchased contract of OF Trenidad Hubbard from Triple-A Portland. Designated IF Kevin Barker for assignment.

RANGERS: Optioned P Rob Bell to Double-A Tulsa. Recalled P Randy Flores from Triple-A Oklahoma.

YANKEES: Acquired P Jeff Weaver from Tigers, sent P Ted Lilly, OF John-Ford Griffin and P Jason Arnold to Athletics. Athletics sent INF Carlos Pena, P Franklin German and player to be named to Tigers.

The Blue Chip Prospects high school baseball showcase will be held at 9 a.m. July 23 at Towson University.
