Corrine A. Weldon, 88, registered nurse

Corrine A. Weldon, a retired registered nurse, died of complications from Parkinson's disease June 27 at Ruxton Healthcare and Rehabilitation of Pikesville. She was 88.

She was born Corrine A. Freisinger and raised in Milwaukee, and served as an Army nurse in the Philippines during World War II.

She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital in 1950. She worked at New York Hospital, White Plains Hospital and later was the school nurse from 1969 until her 1978 retirement with the Danbury, Conn., Board of Education.

She also had taught nursing at White Plains Hospital.

The former Randallstown resident was married for many years to John Weldon, who died in 1990.

Plans for a memorial service are incomplete.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Paul J. Weldon of Fells Point.
