An autopsy was performed yesterday on an unidentified woman who police said was killed and raped before her nude body was found Sunday in Dundalk.

The woman was found in a wooded area near railroad tracks off the 2800 block of Sollers Point Road, according to Baltimore County police. They have not released her name pending notification of the next of kin.

Police spokesman Bill Toohey said there was "a possibility' that the death was related to three recent killings of prostitutes in the city but added, "We have no evidence directly linking the two."

The woman's body was found by two homeless men near the CSX railroad tracks shortly after noon. They called 911 after discovering the body.

The woman was described as white, about 30, with blond hair. She appeared to have been dead several hours, police said. No obvious signs of foul play were found, but clothing believed to be the woman's was found several feet away, police said.

It is not known when results of the autopsy will be available. Anyone with information on the death is urged to call the police homicide unit at 410-887-3943.
