Church to hold annual Strawberry Festival tomorrow

Community United Methodist Church, 8680 Fort Smallwood Road, will hold its annual Strawberry Festival from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow.

The menu includes crab cakes, hot dogs, hamburgers and strawberry desserts. Activities will include games for the children and entertainment. Proceeds will benefit church projects.

Park ranger to lead wildlife excursion

Park Ranger David DeVault will lead an expedition to look for painted turtles, blackbirds, muskrats and other wetland wildlife at the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail Park on June 12.

Participants should meet at 6 p.m. on the trail behind the Pasadena Crossroads Shopping Center on Jumpers Hole Road in Pasadena. Binoculars and a field guide are recommended.

Honored at ceremony: Gregory Tyson of Pasadena recently graduated from the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University.

Participates in program: Melissa Lynn Marchiano of Pasadena will participate in "The Gift of Discovery: Learning Exchange, Italy and America," an educational and cultural program sponsored by the National Italian-American Foundation. Marchiano attends the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Eighty students will travel to Italy to gain a better understanding of the country and its culture.

Summer camp: Mount Carmel Child Development Center has announced its summer camp program for full- and part-time campers ages 3 to 11.
