Police seek robber of Westminster convenience store

Maryland State Police are searching for a man who robbed the High's convenience store on Route 140 in Westminster on Monday afternoon.

The man, his face partially covered with a bandanna, entered the store shortly after 3 p.m., brandished a handgun and demanded money, police said. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, he ran from the store toward Hahn Road.

The robber was described as a black man in his early 20s, dressed in dark baggy jeans, a blue shirt and knit hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-386- 3000.
