Kinston 6, Frederick 3: The visiting Keys lost for the fifth straight time, falling to the Indians.

The Keys built an early 3-0 lead on an RBI triple by Mike Fontenot and a two-run home run by Eli Whiteside, who leads the team with 22 RBIs.

Kinston came back to score six unanswered runs, with four of them coming off starter Beau Hale (4-4). Thomas Ford allowed Kinston's other two runs.

Kinston's Kyle Denney (2-2) settled down after his rough start and allowed three runs on six hits in six innings. It was his longest outing of the season.
