HANOVER -- A Hanover man was arrested and charged with trying to fatally shoot his ex-wife yesterday, Anne Arundel County police said.
Herman B. Cohen Jr., 45, of no fixed address was charged with attempted first-degree murder after shooting his ex-wife several times in the upper body during an argument at her house in Hanover shortly before 1 a.m., police said.
County police spotted him in Fort Meade about 11 a.m. and arrested him. He was being held yesterday at the Anne Arundel County detention center. His ex-wife, Mary M. Cohen, 48, was in critical but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said.
