International medical aid group relocates offices

May 23, 2002

Interchurch Medical Assistance Inc. moved only a few hundred yards from one space at Brethren Service Center in New Windsor to another, but it has made a world of difference to the international medical aid group.

The staff and about 50 guests dedicated the new offices on the ground floor of the Old Main Building yesterday.

IMA, an association of U.S. Protestant relief and development agencies, has expanded from disconnected offices in the Blue Ridge Building and consolidated its staff of 19 into one 3,751-square-foot space.

"This building offers us new opportunities for program services here in this community and in the larger worldwide one," said Paul Derstine, IMA president. "From this space that is a gift from the Brethren Service Center, we can ... deliver health services."
