Annapolis company wins media award for defense video

Take One Digital Media Works has been awarded "winner" status in the 2002 Telly Awards competition. Take One, located in Annapolis, entered a promotional video for the Defense Commissary Agency titled The Commissary: Serving Up Savings!, which won the top spot in the Government Relations category.

The seven-minute video was taped on location in Virginia Beach, Va., last fall with a cast of four actors portraying members of the Armed Services experiencing the benefits of Commissary shopping. Take One owner Dan Powell was director of photography and staff member Eric Grupp wrote and directed.

Take One offers video, film and multimedia production, Web design and commercial Web hosting.


Golf tournament: Crofton Chamber of Commerce will hold a golf tournament fund-raiser today at Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville. The registration fee is $125 a golfer. 410- 721-9131.
