The Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference baseball final will be played at 4 p.m. Monday at Camden Yards, MIAA executive director Rick Diggs announced yesterday.

Four teams are vying in a double-elimination tournament for the two championship-game berths. It will be the first time the MIAA has played at Camden Yards. Its predecessor, the Maryland Scholastic Association, at one time played its championship at Memorial Stadium.

Top-ranked Mount St. Joseph (21-5) plays host to No. 3 St. Paul's (23-7) today in a winner's bracket game (each is 1-0), while No. 13 John Carroll (12-7) plays host to Calvert Hall (14-13) in the loser's bracket (each 0-1). Both games are 4 p.m.

The Mount St. Joseph-St. Paul's winner advances to the Monday championship. The "if necessary game" is set for Tuesday at McDonogh.

The Orioles, who play host to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays over the weekend at Camden Yards, have Monday off before going on the road to play the Oakland Athletics beginning Tuesday.

The John Carroll-Calvert Hall winner will play at 4 p.m. tomorrow at the loser of Mount St. Joseph-St. Paul's.
