Edna C. Lotz, 85, operated dog grooming business

Edna C. Lotz, a poodle fancier who formerly operated a dog grooming business, died Monday of undetermined causes at Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury. She was 85.

Edna Catherine Kohlhepp was born and raised in Baltimore, and was a graduate of Eastern High School.

She lived in Parkville and Joppa before moving to Denton in 1955 with her husband of more than 65 years, Raymond O. Lotz, who survives her.

Mrs. Lotz, who enjoyed raising and grooming poodles, established Chez Ed-Ray Pet Grooming in Denton, a business she operated until retiring in 1976.

She was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Salisbury, and a former member of the Eastern Star and Loyal Order of Moose Ladies Auxiliary in Seaford, Del.

Graveside services will be held at noon tomorrow at Concord Cemetery, 8491 Andersontown Road, Federalsburg.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lotz is survived by a daughter, Eleanor E. Carter of Seaford, and a niece, Ellen King of Baltimore.
