Today's events

The 127th running of the Preakness Stakes is Saturday. A number of events are planned to lead up to race day. Here are today's events:

Preakness Crab Derby: Sports, media and celebrities pick a crab to compete in a race. Lexington Market. 12:30 p.m.

Cointreau Preakness Pub at Koopers Tavern, Fells Point: Chat with professional jockeys from Pimlico as they serve as guest bartenders for local charities. Free admission and nightly drink specials. Collect coupons and win VIP Preakness tickets. 8 p.m.

Preakness Sunset Cruise: A live calypso band plays while tall ships parade around the Inner Harbor. 6 p.m.

Miller Lite Nights: Musical entertainment at Power Plant LIVE! All ages admitted but must be 21 or older to drink. 98 Rock will play host, along with Cracker and the Kelly Bell Band. 6 p.m.-11 p.m.
