Susan Alice Watkins, 48, military secretary

Susan Alice Watkins, a retired military secretary, died Friday of an accidental fall at her Pasadena home. She was 48.

She was an Annapolis Naval Station secretary for 12 years before her retirement in 1992 on a medical disability. She earlier had been an Army secretary at Fort Meade.

Born Susan Alice Crabbs in Hagerstown and raised in Millersville, she was a 1971 graduate of Severna Park High School.

Her husband of 20 years, Walter Watkins, died in 2000.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco & Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, at Ritchie Highway and Robinson Road.

She is survived by her parents, George and Orpha Crabbs of Millersville, Pa.; and two brothers, James Michael Crabbs of New Providence, Pa., and Joseph William Crabbs of Fairmont, W.Va.
