Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Robbery: Police were seeking two men who robbed a man, 33, of his jewelry and a watch in the 600 block of Cumberland St. early Saturday. The victim was walking alone about 12:05 a.m. when the two men, one with a handgun, stepped from a brown Ford Crown Victoria and confronted him.

Burglary/arrest: Police responding to a burglary-in-progress call at a house in the 1000 block of W. Baltimore St. on Saturday entered the dwelling and arrested a man who had allegedly broken in through a door. No property was taken. The suspect -- a 28-year-old from the 700 block of N. Payson St. -- was charged with burglary.

Northwestern District

Robbery/car stolen: Police were looking for two men who stole a woman's car after entering her home in the 3900 block of Mondawmin Ave. by using a trick. The victim, 85, told police that when she answered a knock at her door about 5:15 p.m. Friday, a man told her that something was wrong with her car's tires. The men then forced their way inside, stole a set of keys to her 1999 Toyota Corolla with tags GNK 371 and drove away in the vehicle.

Southwestern District

Shooting: Two men were being sought in the shooting of a man, 28, as he walked in the 300 block of S. Smallwood St. early Friday. The victim, who was shot in the right arm, was released after treatment at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Burglary: Someone broke into the city Department of Recreation and Parks building in the 3000 block of East Drive during the weekend and destroyed a vending machine and two desk drawers in an apparent search for money. None was reported missing.

Burglary: A DVD player, videocassette recorder, video games and tennis shoes -- all valued at more than $500 -- were reported stolen Saturday from a house in the 5000 block of Westhills Road.

Stolen vehicle: A burgundy 2000 Dodge Intrepid with tags GZW 641 was stolen during the weekend in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave.

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player of unknown value was stolen Saturday from a 1993 Ford Escort at the park-and-ride lot in the 1100 block of Cooks Lane.

Northeastern District

Stolen vehicle: A burgundy 1987 Plymouth Voyager with tags M731954 was stolen Saturday in the 1200 block of Harwood Ave.

Stolen vehicle: Police were seeking a blue 2002 Dodge Neon, with a gray top, that was stolen Saturday in the 3800 block of Woodlea Ave. The car had tags HGY 419.

Stolen vehicle: A blue 1993 Dodge sedan with tags JZL 634 was stolen Saturday in the 2100 block of Belair Road.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Rape try/arrest: A man, 40, was arrested Saturday and charged with the attempted rape of a 29-year-old woman at his Reisterstown home. The man's name was not available. The woman told police that after accepting a ride home from a restaurant, the man drove her to his home on Terrytown Drive, where he tried to rape her. The woman fled the house and called police from a pay phone. Police said the man was arrested at his home and that the woman was intoxicated.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A device to measure and cut aluminum for the installation of siding, valued at $1,500, was stolen during the weekend from a house under construction in the 100 block of Melanchton Ave.

Burglary: A set of golf clubs valued at more than $800 was stolen during the weekend from a garage in the first block of Dunscombe Court in Phoenix.

Burglary: Two tagless, 2002 Honda motorcycles with a total value of more than $12,000 were stolen during the weekend from a garage in the 12300 block of Claghorn Road.
