Gardiner Realty adds 2 buildings at business park

Gardiner Realty and Development Co., a commercial real estate company based in Crofton, has two new single-story flex space buildings at Priest Bridge Business Park.

Designed by Robert T. Hofmann Inc. and built by Gardiner and Gardiner Inc., the buildings at 2139 and 2140 Priest Bridge Court in Crofton have a combined size of 72,160 square feet.

The first building is complete and nearly 85 percent leased, and the second building is nearly finished. Tenants in the first building include Story and Associates, United Energy Products, Most Valuable Player LCC, Caffes Construction, My Plumber, Audissey Communications LLC, Stonehenge International and Curves for Women.

When the second building is completed, Priest Business Park, a 100-acre business park managed by Gardiner Realty and Development Co., will have 26 buildings. The area is home to a range of industrial, manufacturing, wholesale, retail, commercial and professional businesses. About 125 tenants, from small local businesses to international corporations, have their headquarters at the park.

Business leader named chairman of Hospice Cup

Philip Merrill, chairman of the board of Capital-Gazette Communications, has been named honorary chairman of this year's Hospice Cup.

The race will be held Sept. 14 on the Chesapeake Bay. Participating organizations include Hospice of the Chesapeake, Hospice of the Capital Region, Hospice of Queen Anne's County and Montgomery Hospice. During the past 20 years, Hospice Cup has raised more than $4.3 million to benefit hospices in the Maryland, Virginia and Washington areas.



Write a resume: The YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County will offer a workshop on resume writing from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow. Participants will review types of resumes, identify and organize interests and skills, and learn do's and don'ts of resume writing. The cost is $40 (YWCA membership required). Workshops also will be offered on interviewing for a job from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow. The cost is $20 (YWCA membership required). Nominations accepted: Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its annual business awards, which will be presented June 18 at the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront Hotel, 80 Compromise St. Nomination forms will be mailed to chamber members. Nonmembers can obtain forms by calling the chamber, 410-268- 7676, Ext. 106 or Ext. 110. Nominations are due Friday.

Golf tournament: Crofton Chamber of Commerce will hold a golf tournament fund-raiser May 20 at Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville. The registration fee is $125 a golfer. 410-721-9131.
