St. Mary's rolls in opener, 15-7

ST. MARY'S CITY - Sophomore attack Kate Story scored five goals and sophomore midfielder Carol Schmoeller had a goal and four assists to lead the St. Mary's women's lacrosse team to a 15-7 victory over Cabrini in the first round of NCAA Division III tournament.

The Seahawks (19-0) advanced to the quarterfinals against Mary Washington today at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's. Cabrini finished 15-5.

St. Mary's scored twice in the game's first 58 seconds and added four more goals to take a 6-0 lead in the first 15 minutes.

With her four assists, Schmoeller tied the single-season school record with 30.
