Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Victim identified: Police named John S. Dorsey, 21, of the 4700 block of Beaufort Ave. in Pimlico, as the man fatally shot early Wednesday while seated in a parked rental car in the 3500 block of W. Belvedere Ave. Dorsey was found about 12:35 a.m. by police responding to a report of shots fired and was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrest had been made.

Stolen vehicle: A black, four-door 1998 Dodge Neon with tags FVZ 264 was stolen Wednesday from the 4600 block of Gwynn Oak Ave.

Southern District

Theft: A laptop computer valued at $1,700 was stolen yesterday from a 2000 Ford Expedition parked in the 1400 block of Woodall St.

Stolen van: A blue 1989 Plymouth Voyager with tags M746983 was stolen May 2 in the 1400 block of W. Lombard St. The theft was reported Wednesday.

Eastern District

Stolen vehicle: A green, four-door 1995 Lincoln with vanity tags DUKE F was stolen Wednesday in the 1400 block of N. Broadway.

Theft: A coat and a camcorder were stolen Wednesday from a car parked in the 600 block of E. Eager St. The loss was put at $325.

Assault: Police were seeking two men, one known as "Big Tavon" and the other "Moo Man," in an assault Tuesday night on another man in the 2400 block of Greenmount Ave.

Northern District

Theft: Computer equipment valued at $1,200 was stolen Wednesday from a computer training school in the 3600 block of Clipper Mill Road.

Southwestern District

Theft from vehicle: Power and hand tools and cigarettes -- all valued at $300 -- were stolen Wednesday from a vehicle parked in the 2000 block of Ashburton St.

Southeastern District

Stolen vehicle: A blue 1990 Oldsmobile with tags KHK 906 was stolen Wednesday in the 400 block of N. Belnord Ave.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking two gunmen who forced their way into an apartment in the 3500 block of Carriage Hill Circle late Wednesday and robbed a couple of $2,200 cash, DVDs, jewelry, clothing, watches and two cellular phones. The couple were left unharmed in their bed.

Robbery: A gunman robbed the 7-Eleven store in the 6700 block of Windsor Mill Road of $54 in coins, $60 in cash and a box of cigars about 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 41, was walking in the first block of Solar Circle about 2 p.m. Wednesday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property -- all valued at $700.
